Hi, All!
Spring is upon us.
The signs of spring are everywhere. Sprouting perennials, budding trees, above-freezing temperatures, and the annual tradition of springing the clocks ahead, unless you live in one of the few lucky states that don’t observe daylight saving time.
And then there are the spring breakers that prove undeniably that springtime has been set into motion. I’m one of those who flies to a destination amid the crowds. I look forward to the day I no longer book flights based on the school calendar. But for now, March is the time of year for our vacations. A few years back, I visited San Francisco. This year, look out, Arizona and Utah—Here I come!
What’s On My Desk
Book Club Questions
Be smart. Look professional. Be the hit of the party… Download thought-provoking questions and show your friends or team you’re on the ball. Have questions on hand for yourself, your classroom, or at the library.
Start with The Fifth Floor. The Kindle version is only $0.99 for the next few days. Download it here and enjoy the story with your book club group.
If you want to listen instead, all three books in The Fifth Floor trilogy are on audio.
Pompey Hollow Road on Audio
Another item on my desk is Pompey Hollow Road in audio. After reading it numerous times during the writing process, I wouldn’t typically listen to one of my books, but here’s why I did it for Pompey Hollow Road. I collaborated with the narrator when producing my novel’s audiobooks, discussing character personalities, dialect, and other tedious aspects, segment by segment, much different from what the reader listens to. So, I listened to the entire book, considering the sequel. It was enjoyable and an incentive to open my computer and continue writing.
What I’m Reading Now
I love book recommendations— here are a couple I’m reading now.
Books On My Nightstand
Here are the next books up in the queue.
From the Dog’s POV
Ahhhh! A few splendid spring days give me some peaceful moments outdoors to relax and play under the sun.
There is talk of a spring vacation, and I’m pretty excited. My humans and I are going on a trip to somewhere fun. Though, it’s weird how they only have two bags packed. I’m a bit suspicious.
Anyway, now that the weather is warmer, I’ve insisted my human throw me my favorite stick or play tug with a stuffed animal. It’s good for my human to step away from her writing occasionally. It gives her time to mull over her next chapter, and besides, who wouldn’t want to play with me?
I’m such a good boy.
Good Vibes
